What a speech !

Hello everyone!

We're really glad that you have come to our exhibition.
Plato said something like: “learn to know thyself”. What we have tried to do in this exhibition is to show you who we really are, inside.
But, what everyone needs is to be seen, to be recognized. However, you are not our mirrors, flattering our egos; rather, you are what enables us to define ourselves. Do we not become what others want us to be?
Something else we learned this year is that you should not judge by appearances. People are complicated… they are not skin-deep!
So, even if we sometimes overdosed on narcissism, and if we sometimes hated our teacher, who persecuted us with emails, we are definitely very happy to be able to present our work to you today.
As one of the four exhibition curators, I want to thank my fellow pupils, for their time and patience and sheer artistic genius! We are pleased with the result of all our hard work.
Thank you to Mrs Vidal and to Mr. Morisset for their patience and unfailing support.
I want to especially thank all the employees of the museum for their trust and untiring help. They wanted us to be professional and I hope we have been up to scratch. It has been a huge honor to have worked with you all.

Are you talking to me ?!

From June 5th and for three weeks, you'll be able to admire our exhibition : "Are you looking to me" (in French, "Tu veux ma photo ?"). It'll happen at the "Musée d'Art et d'Archéolgie d'Aurillac. You'll find there our works of art on the theme of selfportrait. The private views will take place on June 5th at 3pm. In this exhibition, you'll see Rémi and Laura's work : "If I were a place". It's in fact a video made with photo of the Square in Aurillac and with their own comments in French and in English. You'll be able to watch the life of 3 rockstars and their fabulous concerts in another video made by Antoine R., Antoine F. and Pierre-Edouard. If you come, you'll also see huge comic strips and fantastic strange hats. The comic strips will tell you about the "Super-Zeros" and their adventures which will turn into a disaster. As to the marvelous hats, 3 girls will try to travel on celebrities' heads with crazy hats.
Even if it's not obvious to you, all this works of art are selfportrait !

Friday program (9th April)

Themes : Exhibition and Welcome the newcomers
12h - Picnic and BARBECUE !
12h30 - The secondes will present their exhibition at the Musée d'Art et d'Archéologie d'Aurillac. The theme of this project is "If I were".
Then the Premières will interview the newcomers Czech students, Christina and Michel, and they'll wish them a very good moment in France !

Storeroom visit

The "commissaires de l'exposition" of the 2nde euro have visited the storeroom of the Aurillac museum. It was a very interesting visit with plenty of objects, works of art, and unusual things like a collection of suitcases or even the plaster hand of Napoleon (a very feminine hand moreover, which constrast whith the big power of Napoleon). This surprising stock can be very useful if some objects are associated with our projects, like landscapes for Remi and Laura, shoes for Camille, hats for Julie, Claire and Yolène, etc...

New exhibition title ?

Hmmm... That's not very easy to find an interesting and in the same time appropriate name for our exhibition in the museum. The first that we found was "Me as", but some people thinks it was too boring. The exhibition is concentred on one theme : to hide us in order to show ourself. So, if you have any idea about a great name, give us your title in a comment. Thank you !
