The 9th of May, the world-famous GEC association will organize a funny launchtime at St Joseph to celebrate the 51th anniversary of the EU. Photo competition, games, conference, etc... Everyone will like this moment.
If you want more informations about our celebration, here there is the official program of the Europe Day.

Concerning the photo competition, we have 35 photos and more than 20 photographers. You can  see all the photos thanks to the official diaporama. Thanks to everyone who participate to the competition : some photos are amazing ! See you Monday.

PS : Thanks to the business NCIS-B&B, the best photos will be printed in large size.

Be present or be boring !

What's generosity for you ? Is it only giving something to someone without being rewarded ? Or is it a much more complex idea ? Your mind and your imagination won't be superfluous to win the Photo Competition organized by the "big and powerful" Gerbert Euro Club.

The rules are very simple : send us plenty of photos about Generosity to the GEC mail adress (geclub@live.fr), with your name and, if you want, a little description to better understand your madness.
Then your photos will be posted on the Photo Competition blog (http://gec-photo.blogspot.com/). There is also the official poster on this site.
Finally, on the Europe Day, the 9th of May, we will organize a little party so as to celebrate Europe and also to vote for the best photos. It will takes place in the study room of Saint Joseph at 12:30.

Hope you enjoy this funny competition !

Those who want to become a King, or those who are just greedy people can't miss the meeting of tomorrow, Friday 6th January 2011 (by the way, happy new year !). Indeed, the GEC will offer to all the members plenty of Twelfth Night cake and cider to celebrate the new year !
At the same time, we'll be able to discuss about the inscription of the GEC to the Junior Association (I'm sincerely sorry for the lateness).
A good Friday noon like we love it !

Do you know that even Santa Claus drink tea ? Yeah, and even if he doesn't exist (What ?!), I'm sure that there are other persons who like, who love, who venerate tea ! So you must be informed that the GEC organises a Xmas Tea Time just before the holidays, on the Tuesday 14th of December, at 3h30 in the Euro room.

It will have a lot of cakes, cookies, fruit juice, tea (of course), and for the ones who destest tea (what horrible persons...) it  also will have fair trade Coffee !
I hope there will be a lot of people ! See you there !

Friday 26th November, Lidwine will argue about the inscription of the GEC into the PEJ movement. Of course, Peter will say that it's a sect, etc... That's why every member will vote in order to know if yes or no, the GEC will be a PEJ association. Moreover, in the second part of our meeting, Valention will inetrview Annika and vice versa. You can view all their answers on the Life's a picinic blog.
A friday that holds a few suprise in store !

Life is funny if you take time to watch!” said the fabulous, famous, visionary Jacques Tati.
In order to pay tribute to one of the best actors and filmmakers of all time, the GEC and the Manufacture dance school have decided to create a show dedicated to Tati's world.
Julie, a student of the Manufacture, would like to create a choreography inspired by "Playtime".
She needs volunteers to take part! Everyone can come as long as they are motivated, even if they dance like a donkey!
If you're interested, come along on Friday 19th November to the Foyer Euro at 12:30. Lisa and Marylou will introduce Jacques Tati and his films and Julie will then present her project.
Everybody is welcome!

What do you think about Roms ? Should the government  deport them from our country, or should they help them ? Are you concerned, or do you think it's not a problem ? To answer all of these questions, come to the Euro room on Friday 15th of October at 12h30 to debate about this hot subject. We'll also welcome the new art teacher of the lycée, Mrs Galand, who can maybe help us for the B-What project with new ideas and advice.
